<p>As you take a stroll through historic downtown Brunswick, you may come across a couple displays of artwork on the sides of buildings. This guide will help you find all of the murals around town, giving you the best location to view them from, and the artists who created the murals. </p>
205 Monck St
Dreams Have Wings

Artist Roderrick Davis depicts a young African American woman holding her hand out to a butterfly, in his mural titled ‘Dreams Have Wings.’ This artwork can be found on 205 Monk St. but can be best viewed from the library parking lot, next to the old Ace Hardware store.

503 Mansfield St
Georgia Gibbs Mural

Artist Shelia Pree Bright pays homage to Georgia Gibbs, by painting a mural of her. Gibbs was a co-founder of the local Brunswick NAACP chapter in 1929. Her mural can be seen on the back of 503 Mansfield St.

1400 Gloucester St
Reverend Julius Caesar Hope Mural

This mural, created by artist Shelia Pree Bright, displays Reverend Hope, a pastor who played a significant role in desegregating public areas in Brunswick. The artwork can be seen on the side of 1400 Gloucester St., facing Amherst St.

Welcome to Brunswick Mural

‘Welcome to Brunswick’ introduces visitors with our coastal scenery being within each letter of “Brunswick.” This mural was created by artist Jeff LeMieux with help from his crew and can be seen on 1416 Reynolds St. with the best view being from the City Joint Water & Sewer building parking lot.

1522 Richmond St
Lady Justice Mural

This mural depicts Lady Justice, blindfolded, holding a sword in her left hand, and a scale on her right. Created by artist Jeff LeMieux, this artwork can be found on 1522 Richmond St., with the best view coming from the South Coast Bank drive-thru on Reynolds St.

1425 Union St
I HEART BWK Mural

Created by artist Megan Torello, ‘I HEART BWK’ displays the titular phrase on a hillside background, and the heart being the Sidney Lanier bridge. This artwork can be seen on the side of 1425 Union St., with the best place to view being from the parking lot of the College of Coastal Georgia teaching kitchen.

1205 Newcastle St
Paradise Mural

The mural ‘Paradise’ can be found on the side of 1205 Newcastle St. The artwork, created by artists Alyson Bruce and Tori Stevens, shows beautiful floral designs, and can be best seen from Howe St.

1600 Newcastle St
Winging It Mural

Located on the side of 1600 Newcastle St., and created by artist Catherine Durrett, ‘Winging It’ offers a great photo op for your Instagram or Facebook when you first come to Downtown Brunswick. The mural displays different styles of butterfly wings for you to choose from.
